Focus and Scope

Jurnal Irigasi published research papers, review articles and case studies focused on irrigation. The scope of Jurnal Irigasi includes technical, economic or organizational aspects of survey, investigation, design, land acquisition, construction, operation and maintenance in an irrigation system. Jurnal Irigasi accepts submission from public, researchers, engineers, academics, practitioners and observers of irrigation.

Peer Review Process

  • Provide written feedback in a timely manner on the benefits and value of scientific works trough careful documentation of every opinion from the reviewer.
  • Indicate whether the writing composition is clear, concise, relevant, scientifically accurate, original and appealing to the reader.
  • Avoid comments or personal criticism and refrain from direct contact without permission from the editorial board.
  • Inform editors immediately if unable to review in a timely manner and provide the names of another potential reviewer.
  • Determine the scientific achievement, originality and scope of work; provide suggestions for improvement, and recommend acceptance or rejection using a grading scale.
  • Taking into account all the ethical concerns, such as the substantial similarity between other manuscripts which have been published or submitted to another journal.
  • Warn editors about possible conflict of interest which can be occurred.
  • Ensure that the article published in the journal comply with the journal standards.
  • Protect the reader from the wrong or defective research and studies that can not be validated by others.
  • Be wary of mistakes in citation.

  • Jurnal Irigasi reviewing policies are:

    • Every submitted paper will be reviewed by at least two peer-reviewers.
    • Reviewers are unaware of the identity of the authors, and authors are also unaware of the identity of reviewers (double blind review method).
    • Reviewing process will consider novelty, objectivity, method, scientific impact, conclusion, and references.

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Irigasi published two times a year, which is in May and October.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

Jurnal Irigasi is a scientific journal containing results of researches, developments, studies or concepts related to the field of irrigation. First published in 1986 as Jurnal Informasi Teknik (literally means journal of engineering information) and in 2006 was renamed into Jurnal Irigasi (literally means journal of irrigation). At first, Jurnal Irigasi was issued two (2) times a year, particularly in June and November. In 2011 until now, Jurnal Irigasi publishes earlier in every year which is in May and October.
